Alexander Rozhenko; Son of Starfleet officer Worf and Federation Ambassador K'Ehleyr. Alexander was born in 2366, on the 43rd day of Maktag, and spent his infancy in the care of his mother. Worf learned of Alexander's existence shortly before K'Ehleyr's death in 2367, but was reluctant to acknowledge that Alexander was his son, for fear that Alexander would bear the disgrace of Worf's discommendation. Worf did accept his son, who returned to Earth to be raised by Worf's adoptive parents, Sergey and Helena Rozhenko. "Reunion" Alexander remained on Earth for about a year, but the Rozhenkos became concerned that the child needed his father, and returned Alexander to Worf's custody aboard the Enterprise-D. "New Ground" Alexander was fond of heroic tales of the ancient American West, and once persuaded his father and Counselor Troi to join him in a simulation designed for him by Reginald Barclay, called the Ancient West. "A Fistful of Datas". In 2370, when Alexander was to make his choice of whether or not to undergo the first Rite of Ascension, he was visited by a mysterious stranger named K'mtar, who helped young Alexander to better understand the Klingon way. K'mtar was, in reality, Alexander's future self, although Alexander did not know this. "Firstborn". Alexander was happy living on Earth with his grandparents in 2372. "The Way of the Warrior".(DS9)

Alexander felt resentment toward his father for, as he saw it, abandoning him to his grandparents. Alexander eventually grew dissatisfied with life on Earth and enlisted in the Klingon Defense Force. His grandparents were not pleased with Alexander's decision, but they supported him once he made it clear that this was what he wanted. Alexander was assigned to the Bird-of-Prey Rotarran, where he served with his father during the Dominion war in 2374. Serving together was difficult for both Alexander and Worf, until Alexander agreed to join his father as a member of the House of Martok in a ceremony held aboard the l.K.S. Rotarran. "Sons and Daughters". Alexander was subsequently transferred to the battle cruiser l.K.S. Ya'Vang. Alexander was honored when his father asked him to act as Tawi'Yan (sword bearer) at Worf's wedding to Jadzia Dax in 2374. Alexander spoke very little Klingonese. "You Are Cordially Invited".(DS9)
