Nog; Nephew of Quark and son of Rom, who lived on Deep Space 9 in 2369. Odo apprehended the young Ferengi as he stole from the assay office on Deep Space 9's Promenade in 2369. "Emissary, Parts I and II".

Nog's mother was Prindora. "Doctor Bashir, I Presume?".

Nog became good friends with young Jake Sisko on the station, and the two boys once created a fictitious company, the Noh-Jay Consortium, for their commercial exploits. "Progress".

When Nog's father, Rom, forbade Nog to attend school on the station, Jake taught him how to read. "The Nagus".

In 2371, Nog underwent the Ferengi Attainment Ceremony. He asked Benjamin Sisko to be his role model, and asked Sisko to recommend him for admission to Starfleet Academy. "Heart of Stone".

Following Nog's decision to join Starfleet, he studied in earnest for the Starfleet Academy Preparatory Program, despite his uncle Quark's opposition. "Facets".

In 2372, Nog sold his childhood belongings prior to leaving station Deep Space 9 to attend Starfleet Academy. Nog joined his father and uncle on the ship Quark's Treasure for the trip to Earth, although the journey was slightly delayed due to an unanticipated time trip to the year 1947. "Little Green Men".

In 2373, Nog returned to Deep Space 9 on a Starfleet Academy cadet field-study assignment. While there he roomed with his friend, Jake Sisko. "The Ascent".

(In an alternate future in which Ben Sisko was believed killed aboard the Defiant in 2372, Nog became a commander in Starfleet by 2391, and a captain by 2405. "The Visitor".

Nog became the a Starfleet officer, the first native of Ferenginar to serve in the Federation Starfleet. "Valiant".

Nog became an ensign through a battlefield commission during the Dominion war in 2374. He wore an engineering uniform. "Favor the Bold".

Around Stardate 51825, Nog served as acting chief engineer of the U.S.S. Valiant in the final days before that ship's tragic end. "Valiant".

Nog was seriously injured, losing one of his legs during the Dominion war during a battle with the Jem'Hadar at station AR-558. "The Siege of AR-558".

Although he was fitted with a bionic replacement leg, the emotional scars of the horrors of combat took longer to heal. "It's Only a Paper Moon".

Nevertheless, Nog returned to duty in time for the final battles of the Dominion war, so impressing his superiors that Captain Benjamin Sisko, in one of his final actions before departing the linear domain, recommended Nog for a promotion to the rank of lieutenant. "What You Leave Behind, Parts I and II".

Nog (mirror); After Quark (mirror) and Rom (mirror) were killed by the Alliance, Nog (mirror) became the owner of the bar on Terok Nor (mirror). Nog (mirror) helped Kira Nerys (mirror) escape from Terran resistance captivity in 2372, but she killed him when she realized that he knew her intended escape destination. "Shattered Mirror".
