Sarah Sisko; Mother of Benjamin Sisko, former wife of Joseph Sisko. "Image in the Sand". In 2331, Sarah had been possessed by a Bajoran Prophet to ensure that she would marry Joseph Sisko and that she would have a son. That son, Benjamin, was destined to be the Emissary. The Prophet left her when Ben was one year old. Sarah Sisko then left Joseph because she hadn't chosen him in the first place. "Shadows and Symbols". Sarah subsequently became a holo-photographer in Australia. She died in a hovercraft accident in 2336. "Image in the Sand". The Sarah prophet cared for Benjamin and in late 2375 tried to warn him that his plan to marry Kasidy Yates would bring him sorrow. "'Til Death Do Us Part".
