Nurse Christine Chapel; Nurse aboard the original U.S.S. Enterprise under Chief Medical Officer Leonard McCoy. Chapel gave up a promising career in bioresearch to sign aboard a starship in the hopes of finding her lost fiance, Dr. Roger Korby. Chapel found Korby on planet Exo III in 2266, but learned he had transferred his consciousness into an android body. Korby was destroyed by another android on that planet. "What Are Little Girls Made Of?". Chapel admitted she was in love with Mr Spock while under the influence of the Psi 2000 virus, although Spock did his best to ignore this. "The Naked Time" Following the return of the Enterprise to Earth in 2270, Chapel earned a medical degree and later returned to the Enterprise as a staff physician. Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Chapel directed emergency operations at Starfleet Command when Earth was threatened in 2286 with ecological disaster by an alien space probe of unknown origin. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Chapel also appeared in Star Trek III:The Search For Spock,  "Operation: Annihilate", "Amok Time", "The Changling", "Journey to Babel", "The Deadly Years", "Obsession", "The Immunity Syndrome", "A Private Little War", "Return to Tomorrow", "By Any Other Name", "Spock's Brain", "The Enterprise Incident", "The Paradise Syndrome", "And the Children Shall Lead", "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky", "The Tholian Web", "Plato's Stepchildren", "Wink of an Eye", "Elaan of Troyius", "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield", "The Lights of Zetar", "The Way to Eden" and "Turnabout Intruder".

The Animated Series The character of Nurse Chapel appeared in only 4 episodes. The episode "Mudd's Passion", had a very large role for Nurse Chapel, who usually had very little to do in both the original and animated series. Nurse Chapel was referred to as 'Lieutenant' in the episode, "Albatross". Chapel also appeared in "The Lorelei Signal" and "Mudd`s Passion".
